How to make a human laugh

Remember how we made an angel laugh? Sometimes the reverse happens.

This afternoon, I had one of my patented brilliant ideas. You know, the kind that result in death, destruction, chaos and belly-button lint.

I thought in God’s general direction, I’ve just had a brilliant idea!

And although I don’t “hear voices,” I’m pretty sure I felt in reply, “You mean the kind of thing where you rush in where we fear to tread?”

I laughed. I couldn’t help it: I laughed like crazy.

And then I didn’t do it.

Man, I wish I could get witty blowback like that. All I ever get are admonishments to stop thinking of them as Hummel figurines.

And here I thought I was procrastinating. I think someone is using your blog to tell me something. Many thanks to all involved!
