Scented

I can’t explain it, but lately, Angelborough smells really good.

Everything bloomed here. I’m not sure what it is, but it’s gone into the air. Even when I can’t see flowers, the wind shifts, and suddenly I can.

This is more than just the previous owners planting flowers I can’t even name. It’s happened in many places: at the school, at the bus stop, biking around the block.

It’s as if all of Angelborough is in bloom, only with flowers we can’t see.

I can’t name the scent. But I’m enjoying it.

    I know what you mean!

Early spring, the hyacinths scent our front porch. Now what I think is a huge rowan tree, with white flowers, is filling the entire court. Then there’s fresh cedar mulch. So much better than the first warm rain after snow-melt.
