Kiddo#3: Mom, what’s allergic mean?

{insert five minute discussion with Kiddo#3 about what an allergy is and why it’s very important to honor the needs of those with allergies, answering his questions about whether he will develop allergies later in life and what kinds of things one can be allergic to.}

Me: But you need to get ready for school, and you’re not allergic to clean clothes. So go upstairs and get dressed.

    You are not alone. In my house, the explanation would be followed by the same question from Kiddo#1 and then Kiddo#2 before being repeated by Kiddo#3. I think they plan the day with the intent of seeing how fast they can make me crazy.
